Participants will need the following supplies and materials:
A computer with video camera and microphone.
Internet access.
The ability to participate in a Zoom meeting (sign up for a Zoom account is free).
A copy of the book, Children’s Mathematics and Extending Children’s Mathematics, available from Heinemann and other book sellers.
Handouts - a pdf file will be emailed to participants. Participants will need to print the file.
Blank paper and pens or markers.
If you don’t have a quiet place to participate in Zoom meetings, headphones with a microphone would be really useful.
Our typical daily schedule will be: (Times listed in the Central Time Zone)
9:30 – 11:00 | Whole group Zoom session
11:00 – 11:45 | Individual work time
11:45 - 1:00 | Whole group Zoom session
1:00 - 1:45| Lunch Break
1:45 – 4:00 | A mix of small group and whole group Zoom session
30 – 45 minutes of independent work to be completed before the next daily session starts
About Registration
Registration will be limited to 30 participants and will be filled on a first come first served basis. Payment in-full or a purchase order is required to hold a spot.
Refund Policy: Tuition will not be refundable, unless we have a wait list. If you register for the course and are unable to attend, you may send a substitute in your place. If we are able to refund tuition, we will refund 90% of your payment to cover credit card fees and processing.
